Micheal was one of the nicest and most respectful men I’ve ever met. He always greeted me with a smile. If everyone could be like him this world would be a better place. My heart goes out to the family… I know how much he is loved and will be missed.

My heart is broken and full of grief. Michael was first love of my life and father of my children . He has passed on to be with our Lord and Savior . Michael D. fought a courageous battle with ALS and is now without pain . Our children, friends and myself remember the beautiful years we were blessed to see his perfect smile and be amazed at his incredible positive attitude as we listened to the mastered gift of his whistle ! His passion in life was to march to that different drummer and be himself and no other. We met when I was 15 and he was almost 17 .. we held hands as we ran the passage into adulthood and parenthood at a full steam. This incredible man held me close as we were blessed with each wonderful child and cried when we had to return into Gods loving arms the ones now in heaven there to great him. He always was the best father, best friend, hardest worker anyone will ever meet. He NEVER EVER saw the bad in anyone and never spoke it . This was a man I am proud to say I knew best ….. who lived and breathed the very BEST EXAMPLE of high principles, strength , love and devotion . One of his passions as a young man was to collect wheaty pennies…everyone , and I mean many, many people would bring him these wheaty pennies, as one would fall into that persons hand. So as a way to carry the memory of Michael D. with you please carry one and think of him .
